        The McLaren 570S is fast in stock form. It will do a low 10 at ~135 miles per hour right off the showroom floor. So what can you pick up with a custom dyno tune for the M838T twin turbo V8 and some high flow cats?


        Almost 10 miles per hour:


        The car has some MS109 splashed in and when people say that just assume they are running race gas. Still, the car is not necessarily tuned for that race gas.

        You will notice in the video below the car has some trouble burning out. With a line lock and some heat into drag rubber with a proper burnout you can expect a much better elapsed time.

          I just can't get over how amazing this platform is. What kind of voodoo does Mclaren do that they can get these rwd cars out of the hole on street tires, we have seen 720's pull 1.4's

          Excellent software, great weight distribution, wide tires, and excellent suspension.

          These cars wouldn't be as awesome with AWD.

          McLaren gets power to weight and investing in lightweight technology. Their carbon tubs are still light years ahead of everyone else.

          I think I need to get one.

          I'll tell you what pisses me off to no end, I love my I8 for how i use it, but man oh man. This carbon tub minus electric motor and hybrid components and even an s55 out back, Would be about 3300ish lbs with upwards of 550hp depending on how they tuned it. I don't get why none of the bean counters never said, "hey guys how about a halo car, delete the back seats, knife in the motor, suspension and brakes on that chassis and off we go"

          Decades of setting up F1 cars to launch for standing start races is paying dividends.
