    • A Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Jota (SVJ) meets a McLaren 720S on the dragstrip

It should go without saying that the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is not a car to straightline race with. It holds the production Nurburgring lap record and what Lamborghini is getting out of the chassis is practically beyond belief. The naturally aspirated V12, while powerful, does not offer the brute force of the McLaren 720S powerplant. Plus the all wheel drive Aventador is much, much heavier.

We already know the SVJ will lose the question is only by how much. It is obvious the SVJ is chosen to get clicks for the video and not to present any real challenge to the McLaren 720S. Still, it is not every day you get a timeslip to view for an Aventador of any kind let alone an SVJ.

The 720S slaughters the SVJ by 10 miles per hour:

      Run 2 isn't any prettier:

Very cool to see an SVJ run on the strip for the data but with high 10's just clearing 130 this is not a fast car in today's high performance environment.

Leave it on the roadcourse where it belongs.

        What's today's environment? 800+whp aftermarket built cars?

The 720S is the bar today.

130 used to be the bar.

Now you need to clear 140 to have a fast street car.

Looks like the SVJ just needs some twin turbo love.

Funny you mention it as B-Rogue just built a twin turbo Aventador kit but no dynos, power figures, or pricing posted which sucks.

they are heavy as hell and that transmission they have is garbage. 650K and my 8speed transmission on my 42k Camaro is twice as good.

This was when my car was putting out 565whp
