    • The 2017 Bentley Bentayga is the quickest and fastest SUV with a 12.0@117 1/4 mile run - 5781 pound curb weight

What do we learn about the Bentley Bentayga from its latest test? It is big, heavy, fast, and expensive. Exactly what a Bentley is supposed to be. The Bentayga takes the quickest and fastest SUV title from the BMW F85 X5M which runs 12.2 @ 114.

However, the BMW is lighter and far more nimble. Additionally, with just a tune it will run circles around the Bentley. The Bentayga is the stock champ though and holds the crown.

That is, until the Jeep Trackhawk hits the streets. The Bentayga at almost 5800 pounds is not all that nimble on its feet. A .85g skidpad result is impressive for such a big boat but really this is more of a fast luxury cruiser.

At $285k it is not a value either. It isn't supposed to be. The depreciation is going to be a gigantic hit if Bentley GT models are anything to go by.

If you can afford the Bentayga depreciation probably does not matter to you much anyway. Neither do the BMW X5M and Jeep Trackhawk.

That is one of the ugliest/gaudiest things I've ever seen. Fit for a Russian mobster or a Kardashian. Gross.

Agree completely. It's one of those status things.

The design just doesn't do anything for me. It's like they lifted a Continental GT and said, hey, we're done.

Awesome, but not quicker than a Model X. I easily ran an 11.7 with much less than a full charge. I believe the record is this pass: http://www.dragtimes.com/Tesla-Model...lip-28976.html

That's a good point. Based on that slip, the Model X holds the record.

        That is your car?

        No, I went 11.798 @ 113.17 with around 60% SOC

Bit of a trap speed variance there.

Right, based on SOC, state of charge. The car is quickest on a 100% full charge and power drops off from there.

        Yeah, Motor Trend did a 11.7 with a 90d Model X.

P100d has to be even quicker than that.
